This policy describes the standards used to plan, review and maintain Sitopedia’s editorial content.
Editorial independence
Coverage and conclusions are based on reader fit, evidence, value and limitations. Advertisers, affiliate partners and vendors do not receive a guaranteed conclusion, ranking or right to approve editorial copy. Commercial relationships are disclosed where relevant.
Accuracy and sourcing
Material product claims should be supported by current primary sources whenever available. Pricing, availability, specifications and policies are treated as time-sensitive. We avoid presenting an estimate, inference or marketing claim as a verified fact.
Testing language
“Tested,” “measured,” “we used” and similar language is reserved for documented hands-on work. When an article is based on documentation and desk research, it should say so or avoid implying personal use.
Recommendations
Commercial articles should identify the intended user, selection method, major trade-offs, meaningful limitations and alternatives. We do not recommend a product only because it pays a commission. Products without an affiliate relationship can be included when they fit the decision.
Use of automation
Automation and software tools may support research organization, drafting, media preparation, quality checks and publishing operations. Final publication requires human approval. A tool is not treated as a source; factual claims must trace to appropriate evidence.
Corrections and updates
We correct material factual errors and update content when changed products or policies make existing guidance misleading. The visible update date changes when an editorial revision materially affects the page. Readers and vendors may submit evidence to admin@sitopedia.com. Correction requests do not guarantee a requested conclusion.
Conflicts, samples and access
Free products, review access, sponsorships or other material connections must be disclosed when they could affect how a reader evaluates the coverage. Receiving access does not guarantee publication or positive treatment.
Prohibited practices
- Fabricated testing, quotations, ratings or user experience.
- Copied reviews or disguised vendor copy.
- Undisclosed paid placement presented as independent editorial judgment.
- Manipulated comparison criteria designed to force a predetermined winner.
- Publishing unreviewed automated content as finished research.
